research

The Conservation & Coexistence Group conducts research on the dynamics and governance of complex socio-environmental systems, particularly as they relate to wildlife conservation. Research topics include: feedbacks between wildlife and local human communities, relationships between the structure of institutions and conservation effectiveness, human dimensions of wildlife management and conservation, modeling of human-environment interactions, and socioeconomic and ecological impacts of different conservation policy scenarios. We aspire to use science to better inform decisions that sustainably conserve wildlife in multi-use landscapes. Please take a look at our past and ongoing research projects to learn more.
